I don't care much for HD at this juncture. If I end up getting a PS3 I'll probably just get the high-end version. What's another $100?

HD doesn't seem practical for another few years. Like Null (i think) said, it's not worth having to spend 30 or however many dollars for a slight improvement in movies. I wonder if HD is going to be here to stay.

no no, i said im not buying a movie at $30 period.

but the difference between a standard movie and a true HD picture is astounding. its no mere 'slight' improvment.

Aye, 30 is a lot.

For the average consumer, 1000 dollars isn't a justifiable improvement.

Besides, until we see who wins, Blu-Ray or HD-DVD, there's no point buying stuff, rightttttt?

I saw a 28 inch sony LCD running an HD-DVD in best buy yesterday. Now we all know the big boxes can't calibrate their hardware for ****, and it still looked unbelievable.
