Re: snakes on a plane
Oh god.
I have a feeling this will be the next *insert movie title here** and be a cult classic.
* the movie that had Torgo, who's mutation was large knees. He watched the place while master was away.

Re: snakes on a plane
good movie, and the better your audience is at the theatre, the better the movie will be.
we had people throwing around rubber snakes in the theatre during the movie
movie of the year? close, but Little Miss Sunshine is hands down the best of the year.
This one is up there there.

well they're good for different reasons, little miss sunshine was just a really well made great movie.
snakes on a plane is exactly what it is.... snakes on a plane. the movie is totally rediculous, and its fully aware of itself, it knows what it is. i say its one of the best movies of the year, not because its actually one of the best made, but because its one of the most fun. Although, my worry with snakes on a plane is if you see it without or with not as good of an audience, it might not be as enjoyable. but i had a great time seeing it.

Re: snakes on a plane
I'll be getting to watch it on Sunday for free (I don't think I'd pay to watch it) with a friend of mine who works at the theaters. This will make the 11th week in a row that I have seen a movie in theaters.
Little Miss Sunshine was the best I've seen this year too.

Re: snakes on a plane
Snakes on a Plane would have been a crappy serious movie. But, it wasn't. Instead, it contained a bunch of situational and almost slapstick comedy (the guy in the restroom flailing around with the snake on him).
Before I saw this thread, I was highly opposed to seeing this movie. The next day after I read this, I skipped seeing Talladega Nights.
According to IMDB:
Talladega Nights: 6.6 stars
Snakes on a Plane: 8.4 stars
Is that not evidence enough?
If that 8.4 rating sticks, it'll be rated between 36-49 in the top 250 movies of all time. That's right next to Monty Python and the Holy Grail, To Kill a Mockingbird, Taxi Driver, and Se7en.
See it... in a theatre. But, bring the right attitude, bitch!
