When I first heard of Tesla I thought he was some kind of a nut who played with electricity... boy was I wrong. I highly recommend looking up his inventions and legacy. He may have been the most brilliant person to ever walk the earth, and certainly the most brilliant inventor of his era (keep in mind this era includes Edison and Marconi). Before his death (and reported madness near the end) he was on the verge of something that would have changed the world, and I'm not sure even he knew what he was on the precipice of.
