I'm looking forward to Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr. is the man, and even if the script sucks I'm sure he'll deliver. Plus Iron Man is fucking awesome, Marvel >>>>>> anything else.
Indiana Jones is going to ruin the original movies, I just get that feeling. Raiders of the Lost Ark will always be a classic, so it doesn't really matter. I'm still going to see Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Hellboy II looks amazing! Directed by Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrnth), I have really high hopes. Also, the first Hellboy is easily one of the best comic book movies to come out....maybe the best, the only contender is Sin City.
I didn't like the first Hulk movie so hopefully they don't botch the new one, but I have low hopes.
Now, for the Dark Knight, I have insanely high hopes. It will be nice to get Batman back on track. I really enjoyed Batman Begins, because it was an undeniably awesome _action movie_, but I don't know if it was a flawless Batman movie. The final fight sequence wasn't that great, and the movie was overlong. It was also trying to pass off some moral bullshit, and there was way to much pseudo-preachy crap at the beginning. I mean, Batman is a comic character after all. I personally thought the art style in Batman Forever was pretty good, despite the terrible story and acting. And thus far, NO ONE has captured the spirit of the Tim Burton films. These are comic book movies after all, a little campiness never hurt and everything doesn't have to be super realistic. I also think that this mindset is what hindered Casino Royale from feeling like a true Bond film. Right now there’s this trend to avoid campiness and art style and focus more on realism and drama in Hollywood. Batman shouldn’t be a drama and neither should Bond. That is one reason why Hellboy was such a good film, it was campy and had great art style
And if anyone says that Daniel Craig is the closest to Fleming’s Bond as Hollywood has gotten, I don’t really care. Cinema Bond is not Fleming’s Bond, he’s a different, much more entertaining, character.

We meet again Mr. Gremlin let's see if this goes better than our Wii discussion.

I am with you. I think Robert Downey Jr is the role is such an inspired choice and I really REALLY want to see this movie.
Though, gonna disagree with you on the Marvel front. DC for lyfe.

I am lukewarm on this movie. I think older franchises should remain dormant but I was impressed by Rocky Balboa but bored by Rambo so we shall see.

The first Hellboy is a weird movie. I love it greatly, but I can't bring myself to watch it a second time. I really don't know why.
As for greatest superhero movie, REALLY?

Somewhat agree. I agree with everything except the pseudo preachy part. I mean the moral is kind of what has driven the character for the last 60 + years.

Hmm I like some of the look of Forever. I thought it went a little TOO neon crazy. And I actually think it is a decent flick that gets a bad rep.

This is iffy. I enjoy Burton movies but not so much the spirit or the style even though Returns remains my favorite Batman movie. He based his Batman on the Batman comic I think is the most overrated....

I kind of agree. What really bought this to my attention is when people start to bring up Batman villians like Clayface or Killer Croc and they say it doesn't fit into Nolan's universe. I enjoy Nolan's universe but this is Batman's world. If core characters don't fit into the series than there is a problem with the series.
I don't want it to be overall campy though because Batman does tend to take himself serious. I think the camp should come in the Bruce Wayne scene and I thought it did in Begins such as when he buys the club or pretends to be drunk.

I live Casino Royale but I can so see your point.
Bond is about the gadgets, the bad puns and the great action pieces.
Casino Royale had one of those, it just did it REALLY well. And made Bond a badass. I think some of the movies especially the Moore era neglected that part.

Yeah at this point the Bond in the movies is THE BOND. They are based on the books but the movies are so much larger than the books could ever dream to be.

I don't know if it's the greatest, but it's one of my favorites. The actors in the film seem like they are having fun, and they seem very natural in their rolls. I'm also a sucker for the Nazi-supernatural stuff, anything with World War II and the supernatural gets my approval. Personally, I think it is just a really fun movie. Maybe not the greatest comic book film, but definitely one of the better comic to film adaptations.

hellboy is EASILY the best 'superhero' movie. theres been other good ones.. but none as great as hellboy.
so your 'golden week' is one week late. the real golden week lies with the golden army!
hopfully the new batman is better than the last. not that the last one was bad. it was pretty good. (original batman movie was still better)
but interesting list if your an action fan i guess.

I really don't see Hellboy as being the best superhero movie but that is me personally.
As for action movies, yeah I tend to lead that way. If there are other movies coming out be kind and list em I'll add them.

This movie does indeed look awesome. But isn't it in like Sept or something?
