I think the flaw is in the 2 party system, and the fact in order to basically be a candidate, you need lots, and lots of money.

People are so torn over "Is he a Republican? I cant vote for him, I'm a Democrat" that they totally forgo what the person says, just because of what they're labeled as. Who cares if someone's a Republican, Democrat or whatever-other-parties you have in the US, it should only matter on what the person stands for, and what the person wants.

The problem is, in the US, they're all puppets. That's why they're selected. They're not chosen because they're the most outstanding and smartest people, it's because they're the easiest to follow instructions, and they have a dignified background. Image is everything in the US presidential elections. But that's no secret.

I'm obviously not saying the Canadian system is a lot better. But there is less of "What? I cant vote for him, He's from the Bloc/NDP/Liberals/Conservative Party, and I'm a _____" among the general populace.

Our leaders also use god less, minus the Conservatives, than the US leaders do. That bugs me on a seperate level.

I think the US system is highly flawed, and will continue to be highly flawed for the rest of existence. There will be no revolution. No uprisal. Only unfair elections, facades of people reading scripts written by a council of writers, and told what he (or she) should do if they want to keep their term in office. In a system run by money and lies, and with a military not afraid to quell any form of uprisal, it is almost impossible for there to be any sort of public movement to change anything. Because that sort of thing needs to be changed from the inside. And once you're on the inside of the corrupt moneymachine that is the US Government, why would you want to change it? It works for you. You're there. It's tricking people. It's not entrusting them.

I haven't made a pointless, unsensical rant in almost a year, I was due.

The two party system is a by-product of the United States having SMD representation as opposed to proportional representation. It's Duverger's law, I studied it last semester in one of my PoliSci classes. It's quite interesting.
