Damn Brawl lags like hell. I just tried playing a few matches, and there's a very noticeable delay in when I press a button and something actually happens. The last match I was in lagged so badly the game actually froze for about 5 seconds at a time. Definitely not my signal, even with the other computer using the wireless, I get about 36 Mbps.

I don't know if it will always be like that, but it sort of makes enjoying an online game impossible. I played TF2 for several hours today and didn't lag a single a time, I don't see how a game like SSBB could be that much more intensive than a 32 player FPS map.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Brawl online. It usually depends the other person's connection, too. Lag can vary from being completely absent to making you want to turn off your system because the network still hasn't kicked you off.

We have to play some rounds, btw

Indeed. I'm still getting used to some of the changes from Melee. Marth's sword seems shorter than it did before. And it might be because I havn't played in a while, but it feels like the whole game is just a little bit slower than Melee was.

But I really don't think there's an excuse for it lagging so badly. I mean, when I have PC games like TF2 that I can play lag free, there's no way I'm going to spend money on an online game that will lag. I wanted Mario Kart Wii, but if the lag is anything like Brawl, I'll just pass.

Oddly most other Wii online games do better with the lag.

I don't know what it is about Brawl's online.

Though for the most part fighters aren't the best games online. You add in 4 players and the randomness of Smash and you have a recipe for disaster.

But yeah get Kart. Fun game. Maybee we can get some going again.
