Argh, I feel bad no one else responded, but I am curious where this is going. Def in a different voice than my own.

I don't think so at all! In fact, the voice you gave my character inspired my writing on this! This is also an excuse to work in some AWESOME illustrations that Harry Clarke made for EA Poe stories and poems. I think you'll see your voice and tone come out more as the story progresses and my character turns from lonely boy into arrogant sociopath.

Plus, I thought it would be a neat idea for everyone to kind of create their own origins while you are busy juggling so many characters. The writing path you have taken is not an easy one, my friend, and so far you have traveled with marked skill. (Whoops, I'm falling into my character!

)

I guess voice was the wrong word.
Meant more tone.

See the problem with people crafting their own tale is it may or may not reflect where I wanted to take the character. Though so far, I think picking and choosing other's ideas have worked out well.

I don't mind this so much because I don't think ever had origins for your character so as long as he reaches the point he needs to reach we are kosher.

My goal is for my story to end far before yours begins, thats why I didn't think this would be so bad or out of place with your story. To give you an idea of how long ago this story takes place... laudanum hasn't been available since the early 1900's.
