I graduate in December of 2009, and I'll get my BS in Civil Engineering. I'll be glad when I'm out. I'm taking something called the FE Exam at the end of April. It is the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam, and it classifies me as an Engineer in Training (EIT). After four or five years of experience after gaining my EIT, I will have to take the PE exam, which is the Principles and Practice Engineering Exam. When I finish that one I'll have my PE, which will allow me to stamp drawings under my name. With that status, I'll be the one they sue if my bridge collapses.

Switching majors has been somewhat of a setback, but I'm really enjoying my new focus of study. Once I graduate I'm going to try to get a steady job and then dive into grad school. Possibly for teaching first, and then go back to grad school sometime later in life for Psychology (once i have more real world experience).
