Re: Borderlands
I'm finding that this game reminds me a lot of what I thought a highly evolved PSO would have been like.
I'm actually impressed a bit with the class system and skill tree stuff. I just randomly woke up to play the game with my roommate and started a game as Roland. I quickly discovered the medic branch with him and it's bad ass. Healing based on a percentage of how much damage you can deal is an awesome idea. Sniper healing is sweet and so is shotgun heals. Lol.
I have yet to encounter a lilith player in online play.

Found today that this is sold out EVERYWHERE!
Friend of mine at EB is going to let me know when it is back in.

I was actually getting ready to ask if this game was anything like PSO.
It is looking so good to me right now...I think I might have to get it this weekend.
God, there are too many good games coming out in a short period of time!
Borderlands, L4D2, Assassin's Creed 2, new super mario bros wii, dragon age, mass effect 2...

It's a hell of a lot better than PSO if that's what you mean... Except everyone has guns and they're all 1st person. I'm really impressed with some of the stuff. I never play the healer class in any type of RPG and I am in this one because it's so cool. That's how hardcore this game is. It made me play healer.

What healer do you play, the Roland version where you can shoot people and use your turret to heal them? Because that looks awesome.
I bought the game today, but I have a program due tonight so I won't be able to play until tomorrow.

Re: Borderlands
Yeah I play the roland healer.
I didn't know there was another character that could do healing?
We should all get together and play sometime.

Re: Borderlands
I'm curious to know how others are playing the game.
I'm a level 15 Roland, right now mostly in the infantry tree but I think I'm going to diversify to pick up skills to make my turret awesome.
So far I've been playing through the game linearly, doing quests as I get them and leveling up via quest xp and the things I kill along the way.
Is this what everyone else is doing, or are you repeating areas in order to grind loot and xp? Without any online guides yet it's sort of hard to know what to grind, since I have no idea what drops what.
I've also only been playing 2 player co-op with my girlfriend and another person. It seems like random online games would be annoying, since if the other person is further ahead of you, then you can't do quests together, and it requires whoever is further behind to be host.
