Re: Musical YouTubes: Our tubes are filled with music!
So this is one of those WTF happened moments as I was just made aware of the existence of video number 2:
MC5 - Kick out the Jams
MC5, I appreciate you.
I mean... Well I guess it's not terrible or anything, but I mean look at the way he looks. I'm guessing this was recorded late 80s and MC5 was like mid 60s-mid 70s. Seriously though he's decked out hardcore 80s? I don't understand why he would do that...
haha I don't understand things sometimes.
And also just to lighten the mood:
This is Julia Nunes. She's awesome. I know her voice isn't the greatest, but she has an assload of personality, and she makes ukulele fun.

Re: Musical YouTubes: Our tubes are filled with music!
Sorry for the double post but...
Fuck it More songs I like and reasons why:
I remember riding in the car with my friend carrie, and she was blaring this song with 4 other people in the car on the way to the bar. I was all turn this shit off, time for pop music. At the end of the night all I could think about was a line from this song over and over we're on an island on The fourth of July, looks like the tide is going home. I don't know why either. Bar timez.
Uhm, I always respected bluegrass music, never particularly cared for it, but respect. I was at some party or whatever, and this song came on, and like everyone stopped and started singing it. I sorta listened to the lyrics and was like "Oh this is kinda new age bluegrass or some weird shit" I've liked the song ever since I guess.
I spent the summer of like 2007 jamming out to this album and going to the lake daily for swimming and kicking ass... err mostly just swimming. Nothing will beat the 20 minute drive to the lake with this album blaring. One of the few joys of living in Rural America.
I just have always loved this song, definitely one of my top 10 favorite songs. It reminds me of the days before iPods and MP3 players, and I was burning CDs for travel or friends. In the back of my head I only had 18 songs, and I this was on way too many mixes to be healthy.
Re: Musical YouTubes: Our tubes are filled with music!
i'm not sure if anyone else had previously posted this, but if they did, smart thinking. this is probably my favorite song, ever. it has the power to bring me to my knees by the picture's it paints in my head, and at the same time pick me up higher than i was before. nonetheless, it's a great song.
this next song comes from a band by the name of 7 Angels 7 Plagues, whom in my honest opinion, were at the forefront of the new "hardcore" wave back in the early 2000's. sadly, they've broken up and reunited, and broke up since. this has to be one of my favorite, if not my favorite song by them. it's a completely instrumental track. lovely song.

I met her at Youtube Live! She was very nice. I feel like I have to submit my brother to combat her on the ukulele though because he's very cool as well.
