Default The United States of Netflix

So there have been a lot of interesting articles about netflix in the past few days.

Since January, we’ve had to wait at least a month to get new movies from Warner Bros on Netflix. (And more recently, Fox and Universal.) Well, Warner says it’s going so well, they’re thinking about making the wait longer.
Well I finally stopped pirating movies and got netflix like a good little boy, but hey... I'm not paying for a dvd/blu-ray, so if they make the wait too long I'll just go back to piracy Not like I actually care about a delay of 60+ days anyway because I'll just watch some of the 1000s of other great content on netflix.

American TV subscribers are ditching their cable companies at an ever faster rate in the past few months, and many of them aren't signing up with a satellite or phone competitor instead.

Their willingness to simply go without pay television could be a sign that Internet TV services such as Netflix and Hulu are finally starting to entice people to cancel cable, though company executives say the weak economy and housing market are to blame.
Pretty long article about the huge losses cable companies are facing in the video area, and speculation as to the reasons why. I actually never had cable after moving out of my dorm in 05. I watched a lot of things by torrenting, and when streaming became popular I hit that up as all the major broadcast TV offers episodes in HD online these days.

Thanks to a study just released, some sources are theorizing that Netflix, the streaming video service, could have the potential to dominate the internet and gobble up American broadband.
Apparently netflix is so popular it uses up 20% of the peak hours internet usage? Canada is to blame?! WAT?!
