Amazon buys Comixology

I'm on an android tablet - the new version of that app still supports in-app purchases, and now has a shopping cart feature. I think they must have stopped supporting it on iOS because Apple takes a 30% cut of all sales.

It also has a purchases tab so you can actually see what you own.

Article seems to be overreacting quite a bit. They didn't do this to force people to move to the kindle (the app is great on my Galaxy) they did it because they were losing 30% of each $1 sale to Apple. That's kind of crazy. I wouldn't want to be giving 30% of every sale to another guy either. They were probably making no money iOS digital sales.

This whole problem is solved by logging into the comixology website on your tablet 1 time and having it remember your login. Then you can browse however long you want without getting on a computer.

I'm just super happy that there is now a purchases tab in the app...that's all I ever wanted to begin with.

It could very well be that Amazon just wants to absorb the 30% themselves instead of giving it to the creators
