Damn, the series is getting better by the game. The last two games have been entertaining as hell, especially the game tonight. What a hit on Kariya by Stevens, he just planted him. Then Kariya came back and roofed one on Brodeur though, so it's alllll good.

It turned into a good series, but damn what a ****ty way to end it. I hate the same teams winning every year. It would have been so awesome to have Kariya, Oats, Thomas, Rucchin, etc. hold the cup.
Contrats to Giggy with one of the most amazing play-off performances of our time, he deserved the Conn Smythe definitely. The New Jersey fans that booed him don't deserve to get any more cup celebrations. Sucks that hockey's done till next season.

Yeah, but hockey has one of (if not the) shortest off seasons.
 June-October

 as opposed to

 Baseball
 (October-April)
 Football
 (January-September)
 Basketball
 (June-November)

As for the series, Game 7 was suckey and come to think of it, games 5 and 6 weren't that great either.

I thought for sure the game was headed to overtime after the 1st period went scoreless but after the second devils goal it became pretty obvious that it was over. The Ducks just didn't seem to have anything left.

And Jersey fans, go suck on it. Booing JS, you morons. I guess it's fitting, seeing as how you're so close to New York. You just won the cup, how could he NOT have been the MVP of the playoffs?

 | Wait a minute, If you get 10 points for getting the conn smythe correct, how do I only have 2? Shouldn't I have 8?

I understand if you didn't total my points seeing as how I didn't get a chance but if you forgot to do it for everybody......

Jersey fans need to be slapped. Giguere carried his team through the playoffs. How many shutouts did he have?

did they think brodeur deserved to win the conn smythe?

 | yes actually they did. you would too if your goalie did that good and lost that trophe to the other teams keep.

brodeur did every bit as good.

Giggy got it cause he was such a surprise. single handedly carried his team much of the time. and worked his ass off.

he did deserve it. but the other contender was brodeur.

and the jersey team applauded when giggy won. they showed some class at least.

Bah, I still think Brodeur deserved the Smyth. 3 shutouts in the finals? Record number of S/O's in the playoffs?
Meh, I still won though. Consider yourself owned

Conn Smyth is for the most VALUABLE player in the ENTIRE play-offs. Nobody else even came close to Giguere. Without him, the Ducks won't even make second round, nevermind get to within one game of the big prize. You put any good goalie behind New Jersey and they would still be great. Brodeur had better stats in the final round, but overall Giguere was by far the best choice. If anyone from New Jersey got it, I don't think it would be Brodeur anyways. Scott Niedermeyer would be my pick.
