I will be nice and state the obvious.
Maybe, he is laughing because you are like what 16 and engaged?
Maybe, he thinks you aren't making the right choice?
Maybe, he remembers you dated Shooter?
Or the more obvious but cruel answer....

Oh I just love when that *uckin name comes up... Shooter should have been shot and buried a long time ago... Why he is still alive is beyond my knowledge.
So what if I'm young, I've found someone that wants to spend the rest of his life with me...
for our own reasons... I'm not getting into it
And the reason I keep coming back here is because under all the s*it that I have put up with from you guys... I remember good times.

Re: Daredevil
Can I also be nice and state the obvious?
Steps to marriage:
1) Graduate high school
2) Go to college
3) Live on your own
4) Discover who you are as a person
5) Get a job, a career, have some direction in life
6) If you get in a relationship that's serious, move in together, find out if you can truly deal with living with each other
7) Get engaged
8) Get married
See, 8 simple steps. You should start with #1. Now for the guy.
How old is he? Follow the appropriate advice.
If younger --> The kid is crazy, break it off right now. He needs serious help if he's under 16 and wants to get married. End it now, for your sake, and his.
If the same age, or 1 or 2 years older --> Take off the ring, keep dating. Do not choose a college because of him, do not choose a career because of him. Do your own thing. If it's meant to be, it'll work out. Meet some new people, keep in touch, find him when you're out of college, then get serious.
If older than 2 year --> End it, now. Anyone who is proposing to a 16 year old needs serious help. He's not the kind of guy you want to marry. It would be no surprise if there had been some abuse in his family, or if he grows up to be abusive as well. Run away quickly.
In the end, it doesn't matter how old the kid is. Anyone who is engaged to a 16 year old has problems. Don't try to write off Shooter as a dumbass, he is, but the point here is you were attracted to him. You're attracted to kids who have problems, and I don't think the situation is any different here. For your own sake, end it, and do not have any kids.
