Yeah, I'd say get the 30 gig. If you're already spending close to 400$ on a 15 why not just double the size for 100$?

And if you're not going to want to drop the bones on an mp3 player don't CD players that play mp3 encoded cds kind of make minidisc obsolete?

Only counting stuff that I legaly own, I could probably fill 10gig at 128.

i have about 8gigs of songs on mine. But, my friend and his bothers have over 500 CD's each. So his 30gig iPod has like 300 full CD's coppied onto his ipod. roughly 3000 songs.

i go over there and copy some of thier cd's whenever i feel like having some new music. hehe

And a CD player that can play mp3's fits about 150 songs on 1 CD.
But get a portable DVD player that plays mp3's and fit like what? over 500 songs one on DVD. not sure how many.

Tee hee, that's cool, have they thought about opening up a small business and renting out their CD's.

Question.

What's the volume like on the iPod? How loud can you make it. I was always a little disapointed with the volume on my sony discman (the volume on the radio was fine, but when it had to spin the disc as well, I lost like 1/3 of my total volume.

Thats mine too. the 30gig model.

Which btw, I sent back my old Rio Mp3 player back that i got last year.

CircuitCity has givin me back a $425 full refund in the form of a Gift card.... Now i gotta figure out what to buy with that.... i know i getting a 160gig HD for my computer..... Any other idea's tho? will have $275 left after that HD.
