Portable music... MD or MP3?

oh boy.. so i got one.. shelled out $700 got the 15 gb version and i i had to get the firewire to usb thing ... now im pissed tho cuz i cant get it working cuz my windows installer is corrupt as hell... gotta wait till i can get an Xp cd from my friend to fix it... i was so excited... but i didnt even make it past like the first step of installing the thing...
