that could work too Im glad i got this thing workin... got like 6 albums on it so far. Im a little bit upset tho that i dont have usb 2.0 or firewire.. my transfer speed is only about 1 mb per second... firewire is sappose to be 400 mbits/ second.. so i think thats like 50 mbytes per second.. which would be nice.. but whatever

Yeah, I'm glad I have firewire.

Glad to hear you finally got things working. Enjoy your iPod!

bro. goto the store, you can get a PCI card with 2 firewire ports on it for like $30

you just plug it into one of your PCI slots on the back of your PC and your ready to go with the firewire.

USB2 also. but i prefer FireWire cuz it will charge the iPod while its plugged into the PC and i dont think USB2 will do that

Well, I decided I would never be able to fill anywhere near 10GB's of data, so I decided to go with something cheaper, but expandable. RCA Lyra 128MB, fully expandable via SD cards. So far, I cant complain. It was SO easy to set up on XP, just plugged it in and it recognized it. I didnt even need to install the software that came with it. And I love the size...2''x2''x 0.7'' And the songs sound really great too, and its got good reviews from like everywhere. It'll make work go a lot quicker, no doubt, thats the main reason I got it.
