No, it's a completely different game than Metroid that coincidentally happens to have Samus as the main character and a title of "Metroid." But Metroid it is not.
I could understand a Metroid multiplayer if they kept it in the spirit of an actual Metroid game, similar to what Nintendo's doing with the Zelda Four Swords games, but a FPS fragfest? Metroid?
No.
Remember when everyone was so scared about how Metroid was going to become a FPS rather than the same explorative game we all knew and loved? Guess what, it's on that track.
